What is Adderall 30mg used for?
Adderall 30mg is a combination of four salts of amphetamine and scientists classify it as a central nervous system stimulant. Doctors prescribe Adderall 30mg to people with signs and symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy (excessive sleepiness) because it speeds up and heightens certain processes in the body.
Adderall 30mg works by changing the amounts of natural substances in the brain; affecting chemicals in the brain and nerves that control hyperactivity and impulse; blocking certain chemicals in the brain; and blocking certain chemicals in the brain.
Side effects Adderall 30mg.
The following is a list of possible side effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Adderall 30 Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side effects are possible but do not always occur. Some of the side effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side effects, especially if they do not go away:
- Nervousness
- Restlessness
- Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
- Uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body
- Headache
- Changes in sex drive or ability
- Dry mouth
- Stomach pain
- Nausea
- Vomiting.
Dosage Adderall
The FDA does not recommend Adderall for children under 3 years of age.
Children aged 3–5 years should begin with a starting dosage of 2.5 milligrams (mg) per day. If necessary, a doctor may increase the daily dose by 2.5 mg at weekly intervals to establish the minimum effective dosage.
For children aged 6 years or above, the recommended starting dosage is 5 mg once or twice per day. The doctor may increase the daily dose by 5 mg each week until they find a dosage that works. For adults with ADHD, the starting dosage of Adderall is 5 mg once or twice per day. If necessary, a doctor may then increase the daily dose by 5 mg at weekly intervals.
The recommended maximum daily dose (MDD) for adults with ADHD is 40 mg.
Interactions with Adderall 30mg
If you use other drugs or over-the-counter products at the same time, the effects of Adderall 30mg may change. This may increase your risk for side effects or cause your drug not to work properly.
Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that your doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Adderall 30 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
- Acetazolamide
- Albuterol
- Alpha-blockers
- Antacids
- Antihistamines
- Benzphetamine
- Beta-blockers
- Chlorpromazine
- Furazolidone
- Isocarboxazid
