Panbesy 30mg is employed to manage exogenous obesity in overweight or obese patients who have additional risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

side effects of Panbesy 30mg
Generally, Panbesy 30mg is relatively well tolerated but can cause some side effects because it releases catecholamines. Among the most common effects include:
- tachycardia,
- elevated blood pressure,
- palpitations,
- nervousness,
- irritability and insomnia.
Additionally, if this drug is taken the long-term, it may develop euphoria and addiction. Other less common side effects include :
- blurred vision,
- changes in sex drive,
- clumsiness,
- confusion,
- diarrhoea,
- dizziness,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- irregular heartbeat,
- nausea or vomiting,
- psychosis,
- skin rash or itching,
- stomach pain,
- fatigue and bad taste.
How to use Panbesy 30mg?
Exogenous Obesity: One capsule at approximately 2 hours after breakfast for appetite control. Late evening medication should be avoided because of the possibility of resulting insomnia.
Administration of one capsule (30 mg) daily is adequate for depression of the appetite for twelve to fourteen hours.
Panbesy is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Contraindications
The following people should not use Panbesy:
- Allergy to any ingredient of Panbesy containing pharmaceutical form (usually capsules or tablets) or other sympathomimetic (eg, pseudoephedrine).
- Taking dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, furazolidone, guanadrel, guanethidine, or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) (eg., phenelzine) in the last 14 days.
- With high blood pressure or moderate hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, heart or circulatory disease, or severe narrowing of blood vessels.
- Who are in a state of agitation or have a history of alcohol or drug abuse.
Precautions
Caution is to be exercised in prescribing phentermine hydrochloride for patients with even mild hypertension.
Insulin requirements in diabetes mellitus may be altered in association with the use of phentermine hydrochloride and the concomitant dietary regimen.
Phentermine hydrochloride may decrease the hypotensive effect of guanethidine.
